How To Change Blog Url On Blogspot

Can I change my .blogspot domain without breaking old links?
3
I would like to change my blogger domain from bnibley.blogspot.com to bdncontent.blogspot.com. But I already have lots of external and internal links pointing to bnibley.blogspot.com. I found lots of posts on related subjects but none that seem to address this specific problem.
I know how to change the blogger domain in settings, that part is simple. My question is this: is there a way to accomplish this without breaking the old links, and while redirecting users who visit the old links to the new domain?
OR, am I better off just buying a new domain, e.g., bdncontentblog.com, and having that redirect to the existing blogger domain? I found a post saying that this option would work, but I would much rather just change the blogger domain if possible.
Thanks

Then the only thing I would need is to set up Post Feed Redirect to make the old links point to the new ones?
That's not what setting Post Feed Redirect does.
Setting it only makes any of your existing rss/atom feed subscribers start receiving content from the new URL without them having change anything on their end.
For organic/search engine traffic , after any domain name change , it will
take a while for all your posts to be re-indexed under the new URL.
I need to use FeedBurner to do this?
If you use Feedburner in your blog currently, then after changing your .blogspot URL
you'd need to remember to update the Original Feed URL of the Feedburner feed.

Just to be clear, if I change the .blogspot domain name, the old domain is gone forever and will always display a 404 error message, right?
If you don't create a new blog at the old address, yes.
As the 3 pages I linked to say, posting a stub post and setting up Post Feed Redirect is
about the only thing you can and should do.
